District Board of Directors' Regular Meeting

June 26, 2005


 

I.  Meeting Called to Order: 1:10 P.M.

    A.  Present:

         David Sturges - Chairman     Debra Kelley - Secretary

         Robert Anderson - Director   David Wilson - Field Manager

         Fred Croscut - Director      John Jablonski - Chaut Lake Cons.

         Marshal Bell -

 

II. Minutes of The Previous Meeting:

MOTION by Anderson seconded by Croscut to approve the minutes of the May meeting.Carried.

 

III.Treasurer's Report:

    MOTION by Croscut seconded by Anderson to accept the Treasurer's report     and pay current bills. Carried.

    A.  The following bills were approved for payment:

IV. Correspondence:

    A.  Lake Commission, John Jablonski & Fred Croscut - a group of Legislators and other organizations have been working hard to try and setup a Lake Commission. We think we have accomplished this, and are now looking to get some grant money to hire a coordinator. We would like to ask the Chaut. Co. SWCD for a letter of support for this project. MOTION by Croscut seconded by Anderson for the Chaut. Co. SWCD to write a letter of support for the Lake Commission. Carried!

    B.  Marshall Bell - wanted to ask about District Policies and Employee Benefits and work policies. He seemed to have a problem with Dave Spann and his hours of work. He would like better service from the district and better accountability for the District as a whole.

V.  Reports:

    A.  Other Agencies

    C.  District Field Manager - David Wilson

         1.  Summer Workload - We have a lot of work, hydro-seeding, WRP site showing coming up and AEM Grants

         2.  Chautauqua County Fair - Will be July 25 - 31 this year, we will have our Ag Tent again this year.

    D.  District Secretary - Debra Kelley 

         1.  Fish - Delivery is scheduled for July 15th, we will have bass, walleye, perch, catfish, minnows and koi.

         2.  Ethel Dahlburg - Is in a nursing home , so I have written a letter to her son. I need to know were she is and who is handling her affairs for her insurance and benefits.
